I believe that childhood should be celebrated.
For me, childhood is all about fancy dress, scraped knees, getting dirty, friendship, running, jumping, laughing, crying, dancing like no one is watching and dancing like everyone is watching.
Capturing your children for you just as they are is my absolute pleasure. This could mean chasing them around a garden having lots of fun or documenting your life at home. I always aim to capture natural expressions and real emotions.
Getting to know you and your family is one of the most enjoyable aspects of my profession as a Photographer. I have been told countless times that I am a patient person when working with children. I guess I feel that is part of my job. I like to take the time to get to know your kids and understand them a little because that way I get the best outcomes in my photographs.
Photography sessions for babies and children can be held in my home-based studio or at a location such as a park, a beach or your home. More information about prices can be found here, or simply fill out the contact form below and I will get in touch with you either by email or phone to discuss our photoshoot together.
The best age to photograph children is any age and all ages. I realise this is a silly answer. This is the only answer that I can give because children change month by month and we don’t notice it happening as parents. They lose their baby chubbiness. They lose their teeth. They suddenly become more serious or suddenly become more silly. Often we dont notice the absence of something until it is gone, or until we see a photograph taken of them a few years prior. Record every stage that you can. Take photos, write things down and keep some of their drawings and artwork. And have a professional photoshoot whenever you can. You will certainly never regret that decision.
Babies can be photographed at a range of ages and different stages. You can click here for more information on the best age to photograph your baby.
Popular ages for baby photography include 3 months (sometimes coinciding with 100 days photoshoot), 9-10 months (the sitting up phase) and to celebrate your baby turning one.
If you have a newborn baby (eg under 12 weeks of age) then a newborn session can be held in our studio.
As a specialist baby and children’s photographer I am unable to say what my favourite age is to photograph. For me, each stage of a child’s development has it’s own special wonder.
